Fabricator and Metalworker

Island Diversified; a specialty construction Company is looking for fabricator and metalworker with an eye towards detail for our fabrication shop in Calverton NY. This is a full-time permanent position. A minimum of experience is required (experience in related trades is acceptable). This is the job for you if you are creative, a great problem solver and enjoy a challenge where you will learn something new every day, where your ideas and input will be valued.

Applicant will work on a wide variety of projects including restoration, fabrication, and maintenance. You must be precise and accurate with measurements, work well with others, be able to work under deadlines, be able to read and build from drawings, MIG weld and TIG weld, operate various tools such as a grinder, drill press, saw and oxy-acetylene torch. Basic machining skills are a plus. Some field work may be required. Applicant must have no physical limitations that prevent them from lifting heavy loads. Applicant must have own transportation and a valid driver’s license. The hours are 8:00-5:00 Mon thru Friday with occasional overtime.
